The amount of Biological data coming out of laboratories, since the completion of Human Genome Project (HGP) has grown into a deluge that demands high speed computing power. Bioinformatics provides the means to process the vast genetic data from the HGP and build an understanding of diseases. This in turn would lead to the design of drugs and gene based therapies for treatment of complex diseases that till now did not have a cure. Basically this is the deciphering of the code and working out the structure of life's assembly.
This calls on for the following skills like Structural Biology & Modelling, Mathematical Optimisation, Computer Graphics, Linear Algebra and matrices, Application development on various platforms and languages.
Our Bioinformatics efforts are focused on creating high quality databases and analysis tools. All databases are created by manually curating information from research articles, patents, and publications.

Skills
We have a dedicated team of Bioinformaticians with concentrated expertise in proteomics, genomics, data mining, and database development to ensure that the growing body of information from molecular biology and genome research is available to the scientific community in ways that promote scientific progress.
The major skill sets of the team at the collaborating centres:
Interaction Networks
Signal Transduction
Keyword Indexing
Expression Profile Curation
Drug-Protein Interaction
Biomarkers
Sequence Analysis
Metabolomics
Mutation And Knock-Out Information
Transcription Factor Database
RNAi Database
The idea is to help scientific community develop and utilize efficient high quality proteomics databases. We want to be strongly involved in research projects in bioinformatics and computational molecular biology.

Research Areas
Our services extend from creating databases for drug discovery, to various areas of Biotechnology including Crop science, Nutraceuticals, Biochemical reactions and Enzymes. We serve our customers and create manually curated databases, application and analysis tools and annotate data elements from existing data-sets.
The databases are validated to ensure high scientific quality and accuracy. The products are useful in drug discovery, especially in target selection, target validation, toxicogenomics and biomarker validation. The database products have the software user interface with analytical capabilities.
We also carry out Digitization of Research Data and related gamut of activities including Data Collection, Literature Surveys for any scientific research viz.
